Participants would come from all areas of the organisation, sales, marketing, business and product development, finance, customer service etc., as well as senior executives from the US

Date: September 2005

Aims & Objectives:
The brief was to bring 3 separate major European brands together for the first time and the brief specified key objectives for the event as:-

  • To review the success the company had achieved.
  • To share the company’s vision of the future.
  • To provide a fun environment for their “people” that would foster integration and understanding.
  • To lay the basis for a culture of unity, pioneering spirit and leadership.

The brief required a solution that accommodated the entire group in one central location and ideally not in a country where the client had an established operation. The program needed to Inc General Conference sessions for the entire audience as well as various breakout meetings and teambuilding activities.

The agency put forward for four venue options for consideration and the client chose the Mare Nostrum Resort in Tenerife as this was able to accommodate the entire program under one roof which the agency felt would offer synergistic benefits given the client's objectives for the meeting.

The final programme included three plenary sessions, a further 70 breakout meetings over the four-day stay, and teambuilding event for all 1300 delegates divided into 76 teams, themed evening events and the setup and management of an internet zone. Delegates travelled to the destination by specially arranged charter flights. All and delegate communication was handled electronically including registration via a branded bespoke website.

The meeting proved to be an outstanding success for the client.
